Alasdair Carpenter BSc (Hons) MNAEA – Director of Land and Development


After graduating from Brunel University, Alasdair initially gained his experience working in land and development for one of London’s oldest and most prestigious estate agents. He then moved on to become sales Director for an independently owned property company that specialised in promoting landmark UK developments to Far East Asian and Middle Eastern investors. By the time Alasdair left to co-found Lourdes Estate Agents, the business had over £250,000,000 in residential assets under management. Alasdair has spent over a decade working in property investment and development, primarily focusing on London and the South East. During his time in the property industry he has worked alongside some of the UK's most established developers, investors and property funds. Alasdair has worked in every aspect of development from site sales, acquisitions, consultancy, project management, portfolio management, bespoke property funding, investment strategy and off plan sales. In addition to working in an advisory capacity, Alasdair has also established his own buy to let portfolio and acted as principle in a wide variety of development projects. This has given him a thorough and technical understanding of the challenges that his clients face and has provided him with the experience to accurately assist in overcoming a wide variety of obstacles. We have a dedicated team of specialist professionals with a proven track record of handling both the sale and acquisition of a variety of residential and mixed use developments. Our client base spans from private individuals to national house builders and Public Limited Companies.  Our specialist property development team is able to assist in raising mezzanine and equity finance for primarily residential and mixed use projects although they will consider other suitable projects. They can also bring suitable Joint Venture Partners, both equity and construction to assist in bringing your project to fruition.


Experienced consultant teams are available where the individual and small to medium sized developer does not have the necessary experience in certain aspects of their project.  With many years of collective experience behind the Lourdes team, we can assist development clients from the outset with specialist planning advice, flood risk assessments, daylight studies and financial appraisals. We can assist with any aspect of a project that may be required to bring the deal to completion and provide the mezzanine and senior debt providers with the comfort they require to proceed with the projects’ finance.


Before the sales process begins we will implement a bespoke sales and marketing strategy. This encompasses off plan sales, pre and post launch PR campaigns, press and media advertising, project marketing and appointment of site sales personnel.
